As for our reality, elite restaurants in Kiev have been almost impossible, for a long time, without at least several dishes with foie gras, but now, to our delight, you will be offered any foie-groom and any cozy cafe in the city center. Deliveries of foie gras on the domestic (French) market for 15 consecutive years, until the outbreaks of avian influenza have made their own adjustments, and in the winter of 2017/2018 during the holidays, the deficit of this product is expected for the first time in many years at least in France and a number of other European countries.

In a year, France produces about 20,000 tons of foie gras, 97 percent of ducks, and the rest – from geese, which accounts for 75 percent of world production and gives direct and indirect employment to about 100,000 people.
